United States Army Spc. Mathew G. Boule, died Wednesday, April 2nd, 2003, from injuries sustained when the Black Hawk helicopter on which he was crew chief, was shot down over the Karbala Gap in Iraq. At 22 years old, he was Massachusetts’ first casualty of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The Mat’s Park Fund committee, made up of his family and friends, will create a place where families can fish, picnic and use small non motorized boats on the Beaver Brook that abuts the property.

10/14 - The last 2 months we have been working hard to finalize plans for the parks completion. We are very excited by our progress and cannot wait for the Dedication Ceremony on November 5th, 2016 at 1 pm where we will unveil our monument in Mathew's honor. All are invited and we would love to share this moment with the community who helped make this happen!

6/30 - Thank you to all who voted for us with the JDCU Give a Click Campaign. We were honored to be nominated and completely humbled that the community voted for Mat's Park to receive this generous donation. Thank you to all who voted and shared, as well as JDCU. 5/25 - We have a few announcements that we are excited to share! First, the old foundation at the park site has officially been broken up and will be removed shortly. This marks the beginning of construction on what will soon be the Army Spc. Mathew G. Boule Memorial Park!
